I hate it when on cake shows and stuff they make stuff out of fondant, and everyone’s like “OMG THAT’S SO AMAZING WTFBBQ”
And all I can think is that it looks like it was done by an eight year old with play doh.
Quite a few pictures in this list are perfect examples of this.
They’re neat cakes, but I just don’t think they’re anything special.

shawnabcdefg’s comment: You know what I hate? People who have nothing better to do with their time then complain and put down other people’s art – seriously how old are you? The cakes look great. If you feel like you’re a better artist then why don’t you post with your real name and website so we can all comment on your work how it looks like an 8 year old did it as well.

totally agree with JealousMuch, the cakes look fab!!! and i think the sugar paste figures look great too, unless you are someone who makes these things you wont understand how difficult it is to do them in the first place so if shawnabcdefg has some better than please post them so we can all see.
Given me plenty of ideas for one i need to make now, thanks to all those who shared their photo on here
I love these cakes they give me great ideas to try my own. I espeachially love the Isaiah cake.
I think the characters are adorable, charming, and perfect for a child’s cake, which is for whom I am sure they are intended. The play-doh look is perfect for them!! My son would go crazy over one of these cakes. Kuddos cake creators. I wish I were as creative and talented.
